transmission question
is there a way to put a th-400 in my 1999 1-ton i ask because trans is shot in my 99' and i have a good th-400 from a project that stalled any help is appreciated thanks

Yes it can be done, The drive shaft will need to be lengthened, The cooler lines reworked, A flexplate for a 4L60E, or a 3L80HD converter. The 4L80E shift shaft is longer than a TH400....might run into some problems with the shift cable. The neutral safety switch wont work (dangerous). The PCM will need the trans functions flashed out or stare at a permanent check engine light. Fab up a electric kick down switch.
Do yourself a favor & rebuild or replace the 4L80E. |
