Re: lincoln plasma trouble

You will have to perform the Torch Continuity and Solenoid Test. Look in your manual or go to lincoln eletric and find your manual. It sounds like the trigger or solenoid may be bad. Is is running at 60 psi? When you pull the trigger do you hear a click in the machine?

Re: lincoln plasma trouble

from what i have been told u must maintain a realy good ground or u will have problems with your machine
nice clean air will make consumables last longer too

Re: lincoln plasma trouble

Good ground on these is important but it should get a pilot arc even without a ground. Oily consumables can also cause issues.

Re: lincoln plasma trouble

update on the plasma,I now have a refrigerated dryer with a water trap and a motorguard 60 filter.I used my plasma tonight,it cut about 3 inches,i stopped to reset my guide and the safety light was on.I put new consumables in it and it will not strike an arc.I am really at a loss as to what is wrong.
