What did you get done/what did your truck get Christmas 2011 edition
IM starting this early as i figure now everyone will have time to get on later...
My truck is still at the body shop. i know the doors are off and stripped, My new core support wheel wells are painted black. the fenders and hood are suppousedly ready for paint. Im not sure if they got to the rockers and corners yet or the bed.. Im hoping another week or so for the truck to finally get done. I am still deciding if im gonna replace the black mat or install carpet on the truck and that will be my trucks christmas gift lol ( along with the redo) How about you all?

Re: What did you get done/what did your truck get Christmas 2011 edition
My truck got advertised on EBay. I finally accepted the fact my work consumes so much of my life I will never get my project done. So as much as I hated to do it, I put it up for sale. I'm basically just giving it away. Hopefully somebody with some free time on their hands will buy it and make a nice truck out of it. I wish it would be me, but it is not gonna happen.

Wow thats very cool you are one lucky guy!
I spent christmas morning putting in a new stereo in my wifes ion. lets just say the install minus the wrong connector went easy had to cut the oem connector but it works. also got to find the hidden fuse panel. Now with the day off today i might install the replacement speakers not looking forward to cutting up a perfectly good deck lid to make 6x9's fit guess ive outgrown that stage in my life but she wants to use her ipod in the car and i dont think the oem's like 50 watts of power

Re: What did you get done/what did your truck get Christmas 2011 edition
After a couple months of crazy work hours I enjoyed a relaxing weekend with the family. Today I borrowed a friend's lift and swapped out a motor mount on my 50.

Re: What did you get done/what did your truck get Christmas 2011 edition
Had to replace the water pressure tank which blew away 2 days. Then our Christmas plus her family's Christmas plus shopping and wrapping etc. Finally got out to the barn yesterday, pulled the wheel on the sticking brake and found the whole thing waxed up, leaking axle seal darn it! Problem is at 206K that means bad bearings and probably scored axle. Trying to decide if it merits fixing or just build another one.
On the good side I hung the oil pump and tube on my L6 project, a little bit of torque work and the short block is done. 7 months of motorus interruptus.
