Brake popping

I have just replaced the brakes on my 69 LWB from the backing plate out (new wheel cylinders, springs, shoes, drums). Now when I press on the brake pedal, I hear a single pop that seems to be coming from right in front of me. THe sound occurs while in motion, but also while at a dead stop. Any ideas as to what might be causing this?

Re: Brake popping

Maybe you have a spring on in the wrong order and it's hanging up?
