exhaust starts at the front... change the motor to be louder.

Re: Exhaust setup?

Drop in a 350.

Or put a 5 inch echo tip on it to make some noise. Your best bet is a v8 though.

Re: Exhaust setup?

A smaller tube like 2-3/4 will increase velocity power and noise. A header helps a lot and purple hornies not cherry bombs or use dunno (dyno) max bullet mufflers then you should make some noise

Re: Exhaust setup?

Flowmaster 10 series or Cherry Bomb Extreme. You can also try a straight pipe as the cheapest and loudest option.

Re: Exhaust setup?

i got a 350 v8 with headers and it goes i believe from headers to 2 1/2 to super 10s true dual out the back to chrome tips, let me tell after having the 40s for a while the super10s are 10xs louder

Re: Exhaust setup?

If you want noise, the super 10s will fit the bill. A cheaper option would be dynomax bullets.

Re: Exhaust setup?

idk about the inspection laws. Here in small town kansas all ive ever ran on my pickups have been 2.25" true dual straight pipes dumped under the cab. Its loud and sounds like a tractor but i love it.

Re: Exhaust setup?

if i had an I6 i would get split headers and 2" or 2 1/4" duals and maybe small glass packs

here is a 200ci with 2.25 duals

Re: Exhaust setup?

a split header makes a huge difference in how an I-6 sounds. now the 3" pipe is too much. for mainly stock 250-292, dual 2" pipes with glasspacks would sound decent. a split header makes it a lot louder too. There's nothing wrong with an I-6, i think one with split exhaust sounds great.
