could a rack and pinion setup from a 2000 truck be put on our trucks? thanx rich

It could, but it's not easy. I wish I could find his build thread, but there is someone in the 60-66 board area that did it to his and it would be about the same for ours.

Doesn't Flaming River make R&P steering units? I think I saw something about them, although it was being installed on a 73-up truck. With the crossmembers from the 73-87's capable of being installed on the '67-72 chassis, it would seem (to me) that it should also work on our trucks.
