Silly question

[76Blue_Beast]

So I've noticed that there are so many variations of the square body chevy/ gmc. I see some people call theirs K and others C . I have gathered the 10, 15, and so on as the weight and how heavy duty it is. I have a 76 gmc Sierra Grande but there have been times where ive looked online for parts or whatever and wasnt sure what all the differences were. Could someone give me the basic twist of it?

I did post a pic on the pic part a few days ago if you want to have a look. Its parked in a neighborhood and its a long bed electric blue ish with similar to weld rims brand . Thanks. Page 76 I think its one of the last five pages .

C = 2wd
K = 4wd

10 = 1/2 ton
20 = 3/4 ton

Thanks, I've been stumped on this for a little bit but wanted an easy simple question answered lol. So I would have a 76 C20. Im assuming the rest of the names are the packages the trucks came with . Well here she is.

76 GMC Sierra Grande
3/4 ton 2wd 350/350 lwb
With 98% rust free. More pics to come.

No problem, it can be very confusing in the beginning. Luckily you have found this site! Lots of good people and good information here.

If you are confused on trim levels try this link (http://73-87.com/7387info/7387trimlev.htm). That site is made by bigblock73 (Jeff) who is a member here. Just about every question you have can be answered somewhere on there along with tons of cool articles/pictures/brochures.

In todays terms it would be a C/2500, but it was just a C/20 back then.
