Well, as you all can see I've got my baseline going. Now I need to clean it up. I've got some chrome valve covers I have to put on and I'm going to pull it all back down and scrub and paint everything. But anyway, how do you like?

Are those rims American racing's AR23's?
I have those same rims and I like the way they look on a lowered truck! |

I agree it's strating to look good. Here's a thought- I have an Edelbrock fuel line with filter that would really dress up your engine bay. This would keep the fuel line away from the headers as well. Below you can see a pic of it. It has a banjo fitting on the fuel inlet then comes down to a 90" bend and straight out to the front of the engine.

Lookin' good. I bet if feels nice to have a fresh engine in there! My truck would feel so good if I put one in! Plus, everyone following me would have to smell that nasty smell.
Brandon, all you need is some nice coated headers to finish that engine bay off!!

Looks good! I can't wait to get my engine in, just need to win the lottery to build it up.

So far it's doing pretty good. But remember I swapped out a V-6 for it too, so the power difference is phonomenal. I can squeal the tires now. lol

Question
How do you have your fans setup? Do you do any towing? How often are they on?
I ask because I did this conversion on my 69 Cutlass. Went with an aluminum radiator and dual fans. I have the first fan kick on at 195* and the second fan will kick on when it gets to be 220*. The fans never kick on during 70* days of in town driving, unless I am idling a lot. And the second fan has only kicked on twice and that was while I was setting it up. I ask because I have seriously considered doing this to my 82 Scottsdale K10. But I am afraid that I wouldn't be able to move enough CFM's to keep it cool. It has A/C on it as well. I think that it would do alright with normal driving, but I am afraid that it wouldn't be enough to keep it cool when towing. Let me know how your setup works and if anyone else is running an electric setup, I'd like feedback on your setup as well. Fan diameter, shrouds, CFM, etc, etc. Thanks!

Well, I have them wired to a toggle switch and when I crank the engine I go ahead and turn them on. I think this will be temporary though.

Those are definitely some nice wheels! Just a preference thing, but I like the second one better. And that figures, because they're more expensive!

I got the kit with steel line and filter (part #8134 from edelbrock) off Ebay new for $31. They also sell it where it does not come with the filter part #8126 but it comes with a female end that has to have a connection to the fuel line. This is why I went with the filtered one.
