noisy gauge cluster?

i have a sound coming from in my dash and i took it somewhere and they said that its just a noisy cluster, doesnt necessarily mean its bad, its just noisy, is this possible or should i be concerned? its a high pitched sound that changes with speed, and ive tried lubricating the inside of the speedometer cable but that didnt help.

Re: noisy gauge cluster?

I think you are on the right track, had it happen before and bought a cable kit, changed it and no more noise. By the way lubing it didn't help me either.
