last nite i decided to test out the 18v dewalt 1/2" impact driver iv'e had awhile. took off the heads of a 289 with no sweat whatsoever. this has to be the best tool i got in 2011. makes me wonder if they were really torqued down.

I bought a snap on 18v 1/2 inch impact wrench. couldn't really afford it but I had to have after I saw what is was capable off. thing is amazing. better be though, it cost 600 dollars.

I would also like to recommend to anyone looking for a powerful and affordable air impact wrench to look into aircat. I bought a new one off of ebay for $190 and it is rated at 1200 lb/ft of loosening torque. It is a quality 1/2 impact for a very good price. thing is very powerful and has never failed me.

Whats the torque rating on that? Been looking for a good 1/2, well anyway the best tool ive bought and used is a adjustable hood prop rod made by Lisle, I also bought a spark indicator, havent used it yet but you just hold it like a pencil and lay the grooved side on a plug wire and if you have spark it flashes like a test light

my snap on is rated at 600 lb-ft of torque, which i'm pretty sure is about double what a dewalt is. they cost twice as much though. I think milwaukee has one that is rated at 450lb-ft for around $300. a friend of mine has a dewalt that he paid three hundred for and it is definately not as strong as the snap on but it is still a very good wrench.

I gotta say my Dewalt Cordless Impact I bought it on sale for $99 with no batteries or charger reason I went this way was because I got a full set of Dewalt 18V cordless tools. It comes in pretty handy.

I picked up a Rigid 18V impact driver. I haven't used it on my truck yet but it is awesome for driving construction screws and driving the screws for barn tin.
I went with Rigid because they replaced my two screw gun batteries FOR FREE.
If you buy Rigid, turn in that warranty paperwork.
A coworker who is restoring one of these trucks says he uses his impact driver on everything he puts together on his restoration.

Miller 212 or the gearwrenches.I haven't used the cross torque or whatever Lowes calls their crossfire wrenches.

And the 211 is a "portable" welder where as the 212 is a full sized roll around version. the 211 is like 75 lbs. and the 212 is like 250 lbs. or something like that. 212 can also handle larger rolls of wire, because of the larger cabinet.

That figures, My Miller dealer told me that the 211 was not avalible so I bought a 212, The 30 pound spool is nice though.

CRAFTSMAN 1/2 19.2 impact gun, only rated to like 200ft lbs. VERY handy wen your outside the shop or on the trails.

my snapon 1/2 eletic is rated at 600 but my snap-on air gun is rated at 1100 its an mg725

Marson nut sert tool.. Been a wrench for 25+ years so I have tons of tools and big stuff.. But this little tool still makes me smile everytime I set one in place... Have no idea why i never bought one in the past.

i would like a new fadal CNC though.. maybe Marv will spring for one and ship it up the hill LOL I wil make all your parts Marv it just like a reverse sponser for you to race HA HA
