cab sound deadening
Any thoughts on sound deadening material inside the cab before carpet goes in? Would roll on bed liner work? Lizard skin rolled on instead of sprayed? Dynamat? (Or similar product) Or just carpet?

Re: cab sound deadening
The stuff I used was basically bubble wrap packing material that has an aluminum foil covering on both sides. Bought it at a hardware store and it was quite inexpensive.

Inexpensive is good. Does anybody know how much difference in sound deadening there is between these and Lizardskin?

I got excellent results with Dynamat. You can get it on Ebay in rolls instead of squares. Saved a lot of money buying it that way.

Re: cab sound deadening
I'm interested in trying mass loaded vinyl. You can get it in 1/8-1/4 inch thickness. You wouldn't have to glue it down. I've heard that dynamat or peel & stick retain moisture so you should probably paint 1st.

The eastwood version of dynamat is cheaper and was great on the one vehicle I saw.
