Auto column. One piece or two?
I currently have a 292 with a four on the floor. I am planning on installing a 700r4 in the next month or two. I have everything worked out as far as the swap is concerned, right down to the auto column. My question is that it appears that the column is one piece all the way down to the rag joint. On my 72 with an auto it could be separated just past the linkage mounting point. Later on I plan to install power steering, will this same auto column still work for power steering? Is this a one piece column? How hard will it be to swap columns, the column is pretty long and I hope there is enough room in the cab.

Re: Auto column. One piece or two?
that is a 67 or 68 column and will work with power steering, and yes it is a 1 piece shaft inside. it will clear coming out. but it might make you say a few choice words first

Re: Auto column. One piece or two?
Thank you Livrat. I can rest easy now. Is there any demand for non automatic 67-68 columns?

Re: Auto column. One piece or two?
Cool that's more than I paid for the auto column which was nothing.
