The owner of a 4x4 shop up town could qualify for vise pres., He's about 5'5 and 240-50 lbs. Owns a late model Excursion jacked so high he's got a automatic 3 rung ladder and door poppers to get in it......

I'm all for lift, but there needs to be a line somewhere. Too much lift is like art and pornography, I can't define it; but I know it when I see it.

Whatever man. There's pickup trucks that come from the factory with 20" and 22" wheels that look far more gaudy than a set of 22.5's Alcoa's. Awesome for a 1 ton hot rod that can double as a work truck with tires that have a way higher weight rating than the stock tires.. Don't get me wrong, I hate overdone trucks, but a 22.5 Alcoa suits a 1 ton pickup a lot more than many of the other mods guys do. Having said that, I probably wouldn't go with the full height highway tractor tire.

Hard to talk about how great semi wheels and tires are for towing/hauling when the truck has an inch and a half clearance between the tire and the fender. Not to mention the truck is too tall to tow anything.

Hence why I said I wouldn't go with the full height highway tractor tire. (regarding fender clearance) I'd prefer a tire more like the other truck I posted with 22.5s (the one with the hood scoop) I don't think a 6" or 8" lift makes it any worse for towing unless you're talkin 5th wheel trailers..

Just dug this up from the grave. I just did this with a couple cans of Rustoleum to see how it would look.
