WTB - Drives door.

I am looking for a new or almost perfect drives door. Anyone have one they are looking to get rid of? No rust spots.

What year ? ,I have a decent pair of 71 doors at the bodyshop ,I think he plans to use my original 72 doors instead.

Re: WTB - Drives door.

72 doors have a demple at the vent window and have longer shafts on the window regulator and door handle cranks. They can be swapped.

BOTH 67-71 and 72 doors fit the same. If you want to keep your gutts or match the passengers door you will need 67-71. If you are buying a nice pair and are going to use them both it wont matter.....unless you want the correct ones for your year. You can switch the guts and door handles in either.

Re: WTB - Drives door.

Im sorry they didnt get them to you but they are a small 2 1/2 man shop and they are very busy right now which is why my truck is taking so long. They make their money on insurance work and do restorations when they are slow. I will get you pics as soon as I can get up there.

Re: WTB - Drives door.

Brian ,I picked up my doors from the bodyshop today and got them home and took pics of them .The shop sandblasted them since I saw them last and they are not as good as I thought they were .They do have some rust on the bottom that did not show before so I understand if you pass on them. Pics will be coming to you tomorrow.
Thanks John

Re: WTB - Drives door.

67 doors take a different extenal door handle. There is a reinfoircement plate inside / handle area. The handle attachement holes for a 67 external door handle are drilled straight - not at a angle like 68-72.

Re: WTB - Drives door.

Hey man... Yea I got them. Thanks! I think the bottoms are a little more work than I am looking for. But they are in good shape. I'm sure someone on here would buy them.

Thanks again for the pics and taking the time to send them.

Re: WTB - Drives door.

I have another that wants pics ,if he isnt interested I may just buy the bottoms and skins and get the bodyshop to teach me how to repair them. These are the only doors I could find that didnt have speaker holes cut in them .The good thing is I dont really care if my extra parts sell or not as I may do another truck one day. I have a nice 72 grill(inner and outer) that another guy keeps trying to get real cheap but I know how hard it is to find a nice original one so Im hanging on to it.

PM MSGROSS. He has this for sale http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=350370 and he is coming down to Fort Rucker, AL in about a month. I'm sure he wouldn't mind delivering it.
