throttle cable?

i recently swapped a 305 to 350 in my 83 2wd and i am using an aftermarket bracket on intake for throttle and trans cables. however my throttle cable seems to be too long now? there is a "s" where is comes out of the firewall to bracket. any suggestions on where to find one that fits better?

Re: throttle cable?

I had the same issue when I switched carb and intake on my 76. What worked for me was getting a measurement of what length cable I needed and then heading to the parts store. Now I have the luxury of dealing with a gal that knows her parts at my local NAPA. It took a while but we found one, I think it was for a 72 sta. wagon but can't swear to it.

It wont hurt anything, but if your like me, just the look of it will drive you nuts eventually. My engine grenaded before I could get a better fit though lol.

Re: throttle cable?

Itll have more drag but I ran mine with the S in it for months before the truck died. You can run it untill you find a solution. It was a big S to.
