lokar shifter with reverse valve body
I'm going to try it. Called lokar today, and they gave me a part number FMS6400CMR. 16" overall Floor mount. I have a turbo 400 w/transbrake, what do you guys think?

Re: lokar shifter with reverse valve body
I have the same setup and have been entertaining the thought of going to the floor. I tried running the part # on their site but didn't show it. I'm anxious to hear your results if you do go this route. Any other info on it?

Re: lokar shifter with reverse valve body
It mounts to the floor and overall length is going to be 16" which will work great for me... They don't have it listed in their catalog, but when i called and told them what i wanted they gave me a part number and i ordered it thru summit. It was $218. Then i ordered the lokar shifter boot 70clb to go with it... The numbers on the shifter nob will have PRN123. It also comes with mechanical linkages for the trans, a neutral safety switch and a reverse lockout..

What shifter are you using now? Why the swap? I'll be waiting to hear pros and cons on the new shifter.

Re: lokar shifter with reverse valve body
I had the hurst quarter stick and i sold it with the engine/trans that i had as a package deal.... Then i was going to do a 4l80e until i seen the price of those things built to handle 1000hp and i decided to go back to a turbo 400. Doing a turbo 400, 5.3 turbo setup....

Re: lokar shifter with reverse valve body
The Lokar is a well built piece. I have a cousin that works at tranny shop and I turned him on to one for the 66 gmc he bought and he loves it. Are you planning to race the truck or just drive it on the street? I'm not sure the Lokar would be good for racing.

Re: lokar shifter with reverse valve body
those are not much different than the quarter stick that i had. I had to make a custom mount to get it up off the floor so i could reach it. thanks to my t-rex arms lol....
