I know the first question will be what's your plan well the plan is check it over and make sure it's safe for the wife to drive oh did I mention that it was a surprise the wife had no idea and best of all she love's it.
1) the bed wood needs to be replaced
2) the windshield needs to be replaced
3) those ugly a** mirrors need to go
4) trans has a couple of leaks
5) the drop with the heated springs need to be redone correctly. I know Nate is working on some new suspension as is Rob so this will be on hold to see what cool stuff they come up with.

Re: My brides new ride

Yeah,ok James..I'm jealous. Nice truck and what I'd rather have than any of my other trucks...except I have to always have at least one older GM K/20 work horse. What's under the hood? You don't like the mirrors??? But,they give it such a contemporary and updated look. I thought it was a 2065 until I read your signature. How does big brother Jimmy feel about is new companion?

Awesome! Looks like a great truck to work with!!

63GENIII- Good catch on the tinted windows. If it's got A/C, that's even more better

Awesome find -- great patina. I like the bare patch panels, too. You're right, the mirrors gotta go. When you pull out the heated springs, are you gonna go back to a similar drop, or lower?

it's for the wife so the ride height is perfect so I would try to match it

[QUOTE=duallyjams;5107172]thanks

Now that's a good answer - and when are you going to announce your candidacy for President?

Just kiddin ya - man-o-man, that is a really cool truck, whatEVER it cost, I think you (ahh, I mean your wife) has a real winner there. Love it. I don't know why "patina" had gotten so popular - can't explain it - folks used to pay thousands to make em look new - now some folks pay thousands to make em look old. You are very fortunate to have found one just like that - I really, really like it - and somehow, this whole patina thing is growing on me.... They really are hard to find on the more popular models like yours.

Congrats - sweet truck.
