Look what followed me home....

Ok so it isnt mine but cool story...

I go to Summit Racing today (yes we have a retail shop locally, yay) and on the way into the parking lot I see this nice 64-66 SWB Fleetside BBW. As I am pulling into the parking lot the owner is pulling out. I stop him to tell him nice ride and he tells me thanks etc and starts talking about things he still needs to do. He said he was looking for some new vent window frames and then he can finish up the interior. I tell him I have extras that he could just have if he wanted to come out and pick them up. He says thanks, I give him my number and we part ways. As I am getting into my car to go home he came back and stops me to ask if I would be home in an hour, and if so he would stop by and grab them. About 45 minutes later he shows up and we start bsing... We go get the vent windows for him and he spots a set of visors i had from the GMC and asked if I wanted to get rid of them, I said no but I think the burban has the hardware for them he would just have to make his own actual visors, so we remove them for him. He also saw the stock tires off the burban and he asked if he could have one as a spare, I said if he takes one he must take them all, after all what am I going to do with 3 tires. I never asked for a dime as I like to help out people with similiar hobbies and I had no use for the parts he took. He handed me a wad of cash and said thanks, I tried to refuse the money but he said you helped me, so I am helping you. He just asked I use the money to put towards the Burban... No problem there....

I thought it was a cool story so I thought id share it.

BTW there is a cherry early 70's fleetside on display in Summit in Mcdonough Ga at the moment. I didnt grab pics as I was in a hurry.
