WTB stock 71 307
I am starting a new project.
I have recently aquired a 71 C-20 that is missing it's original 307 engine. The casting # would have been V0315THP on the original. Would like a casting # close to the original. Looking for one in good condition from air cleaner to oil pan. Preferably in the midwest. Alot to ask but I bet there is one out there that came out to make room for something with more power. This truck has a 1999 Goodwrench 350 with 3k miles on it, edelbrock w/holley and is virtually new. I would gladly trade it for something close to what I am looking for or buy one outright to get this truck back to as close to original as possible. Also I would come to get it with a truck but would need a way to load it into my truck. Crossing my fingers....tight! |

How much to just buy the 1999 Goodwrench engine?
Any pics of the engine?

I have one out of my 71 c-10. Was running when pulled. Minus distributor and carb for I have already sold them to other board members. I know you said you would pick it up but would be a long trip. Don't really know how to ship it but would take $50 plus shipping.

I have this one in a 69 project that I would trade. It is O.E. in the truck. You could get the 4x4 frame while your here.

Re: WTB stock 71 307
I havent thought of selling the 99 Goodwrench motor yet as I am waiting to see if I can use it as a swapping tool in case the motor I am after turns up and someone would like to have a low/no mile motor as a trade.
You can be first in line for it though. Sorry I do not have pictures of it. It is the typical black Goodwrench 350 with an edelbrock intake and a holley. Hoping for something better than a builder and definately want a 71 or 72 with induction hardened valves. Not that yours doesnt look nice and the frame for the 4x4 is tempting. Not into those old style plugs Sleeper 71 I am thinking that it is too long a trip to justify but thanks for the offer. Still on the hunt! |
