Re: not starting ?
Do you mean you took the hood, fenders, core support and everything apart? I would start by making sure all battery connections are attached properly, and have good contact (no paint between), positive and negative. Verify good ground to the engine block. Good luck, you are probably just missing something.

Re: not starting ?
Sounds like a good enough amount of time for a battery to go dead

Re: not starting ?
Hi,
i hook up with jayman68. you told, that you have rebuilt your front end, so you have to detach the battery. sounds like you loose ground or have a look at the conntact +wire to starter. have had it too. maybe the wire is so damaged, that there is only one strand left at the cable shoe. good luck Chris |

Re: not starting ?
It could be your ignition switch on the top of the column possibly... that's what happened to mine. It is about midway from the steering wheel to the firewall behind the dash. I dropped my column by taking off the metal panel below column, and the plastic around the column. then i took off the two nuts holding it up.
After you drop the column, there will be rods running from the key cylinder to the ignition switch. The ignition switch is held on by two screws. The ignition switch is also adjustable!!! You could try loosening the two screws and moving the switch towards the firewall, then re-tightening. That will make the rod make contact with the ignition switch faster. Hope that helps.

A couple times I have found that if the tilt is loose the rod that pushes the start engage doesn't push far enough to activate the starter. Try pushing in on the steering wheel as you turn the key. Also check that the shift is all the way in park. (automatic, column shift)
