Where to buy factory style rubber floor mat instead of carpet

Where is the best place to get a factory style rubber flooring. Everytime I have searched all I have come up with is the carpet flooring.

I can't tell you that they are for sure the best, though I suspect there's only one manufacturer, but "Top Banana: used to carry them.

Re: Where to buy factory style rubber floor mat instead of carpet

Several truck part suppliers carry them, LMC Trucks, etc. The big discussion around the board recently has been finding a rubber floor mat that doesn't start falling apart after two years. I would like to find a heavy duty mat for my 68.

All the usual suspects carry them, LMC, The Truck Shop, Classic Industries, Brothers, etc. mine is from The Truck Shop, about 1 & 1/2 years old and looks great.

Are they the same thickness as the originals?

I went to put one in a while back that was supposed to be fitted but wasn't very well, looked like crap. So I put carpet in instead

LMC (Lots More Crap) sells a 1/8" thick poly floormat. I have one in a ford and it seems to hold up good.

I don't know where board vendor PICKMUP sources his, but I have one in my K20 from him. Fits great and isn't falling apart.

Be very careful... A lot of the new ones are not molded very well. The pattern has no detail. A couple of the vendors have temporarily quit selling them....

My supplier has one good one he is saving for me but he says the latest ones look pretty bad.

Re: Where to buy factory style rubber floor mat instead of carpet

Got mine from Classic parts and it's dry rotting / cracking after about 2 years. Really disgusted about it since they cost $85 stinkin dollars! And what's worse is I have 2 more not installed yet for my other trucks.

Unless your selling your truck soon, I'd recommend something else.

Too bad on this one. A good quality mat is one of the nicer features of these trucks.

Re: Where to buy factory style rubber floor mat instead of carpet

I just installed one in my 68 low hump, bought it at Brothers, first one i got was for a high hump, they picked it up and shipped out the right one ASAP. It fits ok , tiny bit short on width but not bad overall, dimmer switch cut out is a little bit out of place. Also got under mat felt kit, but it is a universal fit and leaves a lot of floor bare metal ?

Re: Where to buy factory style rubber floor mat instead of carpet

Grancuda- we sell the rubber mats for your years. Troubles with installing them have always come from the east coast guys and northern states where the weather is cold. This is simply because once the mat is molded and cut it is wrapped up and packed into a box. this could sit on the shelf for 2 weeks to 2 years just depends on how many they run at that time. This causes a problem when you want to unwrap your mat and through it in the truck. The mat needs to be warmed up and let it come back to its original shape. In nice southern California we put them out on the driveway for 3-4 hours and bam its back to the original shape, back east different story I have had a couple customers have good luck with letting them lay flat in the living room and sometimes using a heat gun to get corners to lay out perfectly. Carpet, rubber floor mats or vinyl floor mats which ever way you go we have the products you would need.

Mine is a LMC unit. Holding up well after 5 years of near daily use.

Do you have any photos of them installed and what they look like? Are they the same pattern on them as a stock one?

Looking through my photo gallery I do not have a picture of them installed. I can however get a picture of the pattern for you if you would like to verify the pattern.

Re: Where to buy factory style rubber floor mat instead of carpet

I just got a low hump floor mat fiom brothers. Looks okay. No real notiocable difference from the original. Does look like the hi beam hole may be off a bit just looking at it, but I should be putting it in in a week or so and can post some finished pics/ reviews

Please let me know if you find the hole to be in the wrong place.

Re: Where to buy factory style rubber floor mat instead of carpet

Gotta say I did find the Brothers Floor Mat to fit very well. I did have to trim two spots, but all in all I was happy. The mat is very close to the original thickness and the pattern looks great. I was afraif the High beam hole was in the wrong place just looking at the mat out of the truck, but it turned out to be just fine. I Put this in after leaving it rolled up in the box for a month in a cold NY winter garage. I laod it out in my Living room for a few hours first. And it went in very well! I would recomend at this point for sure.

Got mine from Brother's fit's like a glove and has held up great so far and it's been 2 years. no cutting what so ever, i also put the factory style sound proof set in with heat resistant padding and the factory jute padding. turned out really nice, you can't go wrong with there's.

Got mine at Classic Parts. It fit really well and seems to be a good quality. Only had it a few months though so not sure of the long term durability. I wish someone sold them in colors.
