Is my suburban priced to high?
I've had this burb for a few years and put a really good running 350 tbi in it out of a 92 chevy 1500 along with every thing else I could change (plugs, wires, cap, rotor, motor/trans mounts, belts, hoses, etc...). The interior is very nice and just needs the front seat recovered and carpets cleaned. The body is straight for a 88 and very little rust. Once I got the motor in it the trans started slipping so I parked it. I've got a little over $1600 in it and have it listed for $1000 on craigslist, and have had no intrest. My question is should I try and wait it out and sell it or do you guys think it would be easier to part.

Damn good price to me. If I wanted a 2wd I'd be all over it.

Re: Is my suburban priced to high?
Thanks for the reply, I figured at a 1000 bucks someone would have to have it but no dice.

Stick to your guns, that's a great price! I would snatch it up if you were closer.

Re: Is my suburban priced to high?
The 88 V10 Burb I got a few months ago only cost me $700, but it needed tires and a little body work in a spot or two. I checked CL and the guy I bought it from originally had it put up for $1400 after getting it appraised somewhere. After about 7months he finally gave up on getting over a thousand and dropped it to $700. While he had it up for $1400 he got some $850 and $900 offers that he turned down and never got again..... Buuuuut, your's appears to be in better condition than the one I bought (without seeing underside). The only thing that may make it harder to get $1000 out of it would be the transmission slipping, in my opinion. That's simply because transmission parts are expensive and transmission servicing more so.

Re: Is my suburban priced to high?
you just had to find someone who wanted a burb! $1000 wasn't too high, but i did consider waiting a little bit to see if you came down. i had a couple others on my radar, but that nice, clean brown interior was something i didn't want to gamble on losing. its worth the money right there. i've got the engine and trans sold, just waiting to finish off the tank of gas in my shortwide and i'll be underway! i'll have pics up as i go, but i'll admit that i'm not real good at stopping to take pics. i didn't know that you were a member here, but i should have asked since i saw you had a couple squares.
