Truck pics...Finally

I thought I would post a pic or two of my truck since I have been a member for so long.
It looks stock on the outside but there is nothing left about it stock except the outside.

Yeah....it helps buy the toys indeed!
One wife was enough for me and that was 12 years or so ago.
I don't know 'bout times past but the women of today really better get a good education since they will have to feed themselves. The ones around me at least.

Well......I didn't look at it that way!

I guess it will be one.

I do love when I pull up to a light and the cars behind always jump in the other lane to get ahead.
They think people that drive trucks like that are 101 years old and drive VERY slooooow.
I just give her a little (too much) gas and leave them standing.

I can't imagine what is gonna happen with the 383.
It will be fun!

Thats whats fun about mine right now its still got the old factory paint. The only thing that sort of gives it away is the lopey idle. I had one guy at work tell me I needed to tune up my truck so it wouldnt run soo rough.

One question on the 305, who put the valve covers on the wrong sides. Their upside down.

I knew you guys would catch that upside down valve cover!

Here's the story......
I am guilty of doing that but it beats buying new ones.

They were bought years ago for my Z/28 which has the oil fill on the driver's side with the PVC on the other side.
My truck is backwards from the Z/28.
I bought a lot of parts like that for my Z/28 and then the value started going up on it so I wanted to keep it looking stock.
In order to use those on my truck I had to turn one upside down or I couldn't put oil in it.
No one has ever seen the engine (until now) so it really just has to please me, and it does.

Look at a few engines and you will see it again. I saw one in Car Craft (I think) that had the same deal not long ago.

Long story to explain but thats it.
Mike
