I have the quad headlight setup (with the cool grille

) on my '91 Suburban. They are halogens and I have the relay kit that allows the high beams and low beams to be on at the same time.
Heck, I can't hardly see at night with the low beams and, of course, can't use the high/low combo all the time around town. Are there any kits out there to replace the stock headlights with something that has a replaceable bulb? Our Grand Prix GTP has Sylvania Silverstars and aftermarket driving lights and WOW, what a difference!
Please help. I wouldn't want to accidentally destroy my beautiful truck, and especially that grille

, just because I can't see at night!

Why not buy some Sylvania Silverstars for it? I did for my truck with single lights. Difference is amazing.

Hey swervin ervin, I think my headlights are the sealed type and therefore I can't simply swap out the bulbs. I am wondering if there is a type of headlight of the same size as my stock ones that allows interchangeable bulbs, because then I'd definitely go with Silverstars.
Any input/recommendations appreciated.

I think the Silverstars are avalible in sealed too.
My local Autozone has them.
I don't know if this what swervin was talking about though.

I just called my local AutoZone and the man I talked to seemed to think they carry sealed beam Silverstars which would be the same size as stock. I'll have to check there this evening after work.
I'll let you guys know. Maybe I'll finally be able to see in the dark!

You can use the headlights off of a 1980s square bodystyle Audi 200/VW Passat, they're H4+parking lights and bolt right in with absolutely no modifications. I bought Bosch ones, and i love them. I did a relay conversion with HD relays and wire and i love the setup.

Yes, they sell Silverstars in sealed beam. That's what I have in mine. Be prepared for sticker shock though. I paid 25 bucks a piece for my single lights. Don't know what the quad lights are.

My local Autozone has a few sealed beam headlights, but not the ones required for me with the quad headlight setup. I will call Sylvania directly Monday a.m. and get the straight skinny.
It looks like it will run me about a hundred bucks total although there is a rebate available on the website. Not a bad price to pay to be able to see. Wait 'til I get both low and high beams on at the same time!
I'll follow this up as I get the info. If you happen to be able to get the right part numbers for those who require 4 headlights (seperate high/low beams) feel free to chime in.

I just bought some Sylvania Silverstars for my other truck. BADBOW halogen lamps come very close to the same brigthness, but man those Silverstars are awsome. Hefty at $25.00 each too.

One is a top of the line ten year old Halogen.

I'd have to say the one on the driver's side is the SilverStar. Over on the ClubGrandPrix forum they post a lot of before/after night shots and to my eye there is no comparison. Also, we have them on our GTP and it is actually nice to drive at night. I had very bad eyesite before LASIK surgery and still have some problems with driving at night. Therefore, proper lighting, and a lot of it, is very important to me.
It appears they don't yet make the lights for those of us with the newer quad light setup (after an exhaustive search of the Sylvania site) but I'm calling them tomorrow anyway!

Well, I can tell you there is a difference over regular halogen lights. I've even went the Midnight Moose coversion way, and there is no comparison. The Silverstars have the best lighting for night driving I've seen so far.

Of course we all could go with a full HID coversion for around 600 bucks.

They do sell the 4 light (quad) setup. Advance Auto parts as well as Autozone sells them. They are part number H4651ST for the high beams, and H4656ST for the low beam. $24.99 each.

Hey, swervin ervin. I called Sylvania directly yesterday and tey said they do NOT make the replacement sealed beam Silverstars for my ride. I have the quad headlights where they are next to each other horizontally, not vertically. My headlights are smaller than those quad headlights which are mounted vertically. She said maybe in the future, as its turning out to be a very popular line of headlights.

Hey Mike 76251 where did you get that grill ? I've been looking all over for one thats plastic chrome instead of the grey one I have.

I would like a chrome one too but it appears no one makes them.
I hated the dull look of grey and took the grill out and spray painted it with some bright silver.
If you do this just make sure you get some plastic primer so the paint will stay on.
