'52 Pickup - Routing Engine Wiring Harness?

I'm installing a new wiring harness into my '52 Chevy pickup, and I'm looking for some pictures of how you guys have routed the wiring harness thru the engine bay. How do you bring the starter and ignition wiring across the firewall? How is the wiring attached to the firewall?

The wiring for the headlights .... down along the driver's side fender, and then the passenger side wiring goes across the radiator?

Any pictures are appreciated!

Thanks

Bill

Re: '52 Pickup - Routing Engine Wiring Harness?

i don't have any pics , but i came out of the cab at the large hole on the drivers side upper corner , where the original wire came thru, and went straight down to the frame.
I ran the engine wires along the seam where the floor breaks at the firewall,
kinda snuck up to the engine at the bellhosing area.
headlight and front wires i ran inside the frame forward, crossed over around the radiator mount ,ran rear wires along frame to rear, i crossed over to the starter and battery just behind the plate opening in the floor above the transmission. there a lip to hang adel clamps on. gropped my tranny wires there too.
i needed wires from the dash to under my seat. so a pulled wire up the a-pillar over the door then down to the floor, then under the seat.
i like the Split braided wiring loom stuff so i can add a wire fairly easy.

hope that helps ya,

Thanks!! Yes, that helps. I was thinking along those same lines, so it helps that I'm on the right track. I'd like to keep the firewall as clean as possible. Thanks!!

What we did with the wires going to the front on the suburban was to come low down thur the floor, the wires on the drivers side we took out under the inner fender high up where the innner fender and fender bolted together and ran them out to the front and back in by the core surpport and out to the headlights and horns.. on the pass. side the ones that went to the starter, and dist. and a/c, was also ran out low (see picture shot looking at the dash.. the one picture of the motor you can just see the wires coming out just under the steering column... the one over head shot of motor you can't see anywires... hope this helps you..
