Speedometer
The other day when I took my truck on it's first maiden voyage, it felt like I was doing 80 when the speedometer said 70. I took the GPS with me yesterday on my trip to Helena. When I got to 63 mph, I glance over and the GPS says 70. Upon further inspection, my truck has 3.73's instead of 4.10's like I thought.
So, what do I need to do change the speedo gears in my 205 transfer case? Do I have to change the gear on the shaft along with the driven gear? Do they make a speedometer adapter? |

Re: Speedometer
Go into Bowtieoverdrives site and surf around in there and I believe there is a chart which will give yo the info you need.

Re: Speedometer
I assume the gears they recommend for a 700R4 fit the 700R4, not the 205, right?

Re: Speedometer
All I know is whats on the page and I think tire size and rear end ratio are the two calculations you need. I think you can ordr the gear you need form them as well and if/when you order they should be able to confirm which one you need.

Re: Speedometer
So I found this page http://www.transmissioncenter.net/sp...n_______va.htm
Go down to "GM / Dodge / Ford Ratio Adapter". I think I need the top one at 10% if my speedometer reads 63 when I'm going 70. Is this correct? I just want to make sure before I buy. |

Can't you just change the driven gear by using the chart near the top of the page? $11.00 compared to $62.00 is quite a difference... Just wondering. LockDoc
