Can this be done with out pulling or lifting the engine?

Ive been looking and it seems the engine mounts are connected to the front end.

I would say no. Since the motor mounts are on the front end cradle. But who knows for sure. I have never attempted it with the engine in place.

Bill is right , the mounts are on the crossmember , it could be done if you support the engine but I think it would be less work and safer to pull the engine.
Not worth getting hurt for.

Yes. I have done it. In the cold and snow too. I was 20 and the front crossmember and lower control arms on my only transportation were rotted out. Both springs were broken as well. Fun times.

I left the motor mounts attached to the top of the frame and pulled the crossmember to motor mount bolts. Then I jacked the frame up to raise the pan @1/4" and let it back down with wood plank blocks under the pan to support the motor. The bolts holding the crossmember to the frame had some kind of green threadlocker that fought me all the way out. I remember wishing they would just break off and praying the heads wouldn't strip.
