New member, new COE (new to me)

Greetings, all.

I've been through a 50 panel and four 1/2 tons (50, 49, 54, 51) years ago, and now will tranform a 52 COE into a beer truck for a brewpub I'm starting.

Bringing it home this weekend.

I'll be bugging folks for help so thank you in advance.

More pics to come.

Cheers!

Re: New member, new COE (new to me)

No teasing when the subject is beer and my new old truck, lol...

I'm not sure what I'm more excited about, the brewery or the truck.
I guess since they will be partners, it's all good!

Re: New member, new COE (new to me)

The COE will have old oak beer barrels on the flatbed, with my beer logo on it, etc.

The plan right now is to have 5 in house beers on tap all of the time, with rotating guest taps, maybe 20 or so.

Whatever kind of beer you like, I can and will make.

I will have a double IPA called 'Hop Haul' with my truck hauling a big hop cone on the label.

You need to post a pic of your place and where it's at.

Re: New member, new COE (new to me)

We are just getting under way.
Honestly, it will probably be a year (or more) before we open.
The building is 100 years old and will take a lot of renovation.
It takes almost a year to get federal licenses.
And I want this COE ready to make the first delivery!

It will be in Wentzville, Missouri, just west of St. Louis just blocks off of I-70.

First beer is on me.

Re: New member, new COE (new to me)

I'll see what I can do for pics of the building.
It ain't pretty, which is part of the challenge in terms of getting it open... someday.

Just like an old truck restoration... it's only money, right?

Thank you pinecrest and Daze57, very kind of you.

Here is another pic.

Already put new tubeless Budd rims and new Michelins on it since the pic.
Lots more to come.

Re: New member, new COE (new to me)

Welcome looks like it will be fun. In my day job I have designed a microbrew pub and distillery and a vodka distillery. You are right on the licensing, they have been one of the few projects lately where I could do my work at a reasonable pace instead of being the pinch point in the hour glass!

Re: New member, new COE (new to me)

Thanks Kim!

Thanks Dan! I'm a San Diego fanatic, I'm there often. My best friend is there.
Used to live in PB but now is out in Santee.
You have an amazing array of beer there.

And Orrie... we are about to start equipment shopping for the brewery, tell me what you know!

Of all the breweries in the northwest i cant think of any with a hot rod coe. Nice, using any yakima hops?

Cool Truck! I bet you could make it to Columbia for the homecoming parade, half this town is from St louis during school. I would love to see this truck.
