over flow

finally got the over flow tank installed. racked my brain as to where to kinda hide it, so my father in law fabed this bracket and it fit snug here so we went with it... not too bad.

meaning? with the cap on it it seems to be pulling water in and out like it should. Does it need a different cap than the one I have on it

According to the pic shown, the line leading to the over flow container looks to have antifreeze in it. But then again, the lever could have been flipped on the cap to burp the system.

Re: over flow

there are different types rad caps the originals that open with pressure dont always allow for fluid to b returned to rad on cooldown// modern closed system caps work properly //autoparts store should have the right type for your use

Re: over flow

you want a cap that has two gaskets on it, flip the cap over and you will be able to tell. I also tend to stay away from those cheap plastic levers, it would suck if they were to break. Also I prefer to run the highest pressure cap I think I can do. Some auto stores have a pressure tester for your radiator, you can pick one up and see if you can run a higher pressure cap.
