Need some opinions.
So I recently did some trading and acquired a 1972 chevy cheyenne 2wd swb. I believe the truck has a 2/4" drop, 15x6" and 15x14 weld draglites with a 225/70 on the front and a 29x15.5 mt sportsman pro on the rear, headers, 1 chamber flowmaster mufflers, 3.73 gears with an open differential. The truck is flat black, has all of the original molding. So here's my delimma, I was told that the truck has a 350 engine. I wanted to do a cam swap and decided to check th eengine id and it turns out that it's a 305 in the truck, what a disappointment. I've got a few ideas of things that I could do to the truck. If you click on other, please give me some suggestions.

Re: Need some opinions.
A 305 does not backup those tires/wheels. You gotta change one or the other.. I'd say change the tires/wheels to a set of ralleys or stock steelies because that would be easier. No shame in a 305 when it's in a SWB - drive it.

Put 20s on it and rock the 305 till the cows come home.

Re: Need some opinions.
The answer lies within young Skywalker.... What do YOU want from the truck? If it was mine I'd put gas in the tank and drive it... And eventually it would get bagged and 20's.

I vote drop & wheels... roll the 305 until it gives you problems.

Hellooo Neighbor. Those pics were taken in my neck of the woods.
Good looking truck man. If it were me, I'd get it really dependable first.. drop it, then 20's, then think about a little more motor. Just me. You could CL the Welds or .. just run them for a while (?) Nothing wrong with it as is though ! Do you go the shows in Cleveland? Downtown?

I've only had the truck for about a month or so. I haven't been to a car show in a while tho. I saw a thread on your truck and it's looking pretty good.
