Dash Pad Removal?
How in the heck do you remove the bolts above the passenger side? They seem to be sunk in and unreachable by socket....I dont want to rip them out and not be able to mount it back in properly..
Also tried needle nose pliers with no luck Thanks in advance |

Re: Dash Pad Removal?
I've had good success with using a small socket and just forcing it on there. That's probably just vinyl material that's wrapped around the bolt head. I don't recall the socket size, but as I recall it's metric- around 8 or 10 mm. Be gentle and it shouldn't do any big damage to the dash pad. There's metal frame behind it so it should go back on just fine and not be noticeable when re-installed.

Re: Dash Pad Removal?
Yeah what was said above. I use a 1/4" ratchet, extension, and a 7mm or 9/32" socket (if it has the original screws.
Just push and the soft area around the screw head will compress. They screw into plastic inserts that push into holes in the metal dash. They shouldn't be very tight. Posted via Mobile Device

Re: Dash Pad Removal?
I had a bit changing screwdriver (I think that's what it's called. screwdriver that allows phillips head bits to fit in it?) and it was the correct size of the screws. The heads were recessed so you just had to put pressure on them to find the head and then just unscrew.

Re: Dash Pad Removal?
looks sweet, If you dont mind me making a suggestion, I would use a fabric paint or any paint that will adhere to the old dash and paint the edges that have a chance at being exposed black.. If thats even a possibility. Im not sure if the new cover wraps around or stops at the edges.

Re: Dash Pad Removal?
It fits pretty good except on the very back edges and of course where the trim goes..
Thanks for the suggestion! I will probably look into that..
