For now yes. I might change my mind but I think it is priced fairly. Here it is at $455 from Summitt http://www.summitracing.com/parts/PRF-10206/ which puts it at $470 shipped. That is a 30% savings.

It is new in the box with intsructions. I purchased it from someone who abondoned their project. If you look at the Summitt link this part number is specifically for these trucks.

Re: Painless 18 circuit wiring harness

So, straight across trade? I'm good with that if you are.

You could paint them black if you wanted .. They'd look sharp on your motor. (Not that the other's dont !! ) I just need the harness for my build, and had considered changing my valve covers. They are the GMPP version, not the Summit ones. .. just FYI. they are like new, just on my motor during the build. The engine was fired for 2-3 min then shut down.

They were originally silver and have been meticulously painted with Chevy Orange VHT.

Re: Painless 18 circuit wiring harness

I am good with a straight across trade. I will take it all out of the box tonight and take a pic for you to see everything since I bought it second hand and did not have it available for a pic when I posted the ad at work. If you are good with that PM me your address and I will ship it out once you give the ok.

Re: Painless 18 circuit wiring harness

Sure .. shoot me a picture and we'll call it done as long as everything's still in the box, etc. etc. Sounds like it is. I'll take care of the shipping from my end, we can just do an even swap .. Cool?

Here are the pics. Please give me your zip code so I can see what it is going to cost me to get this to you. This thing is very heavy and appears to be an extensive and well made set up.

Re: Painless 18 circuit wiring harness

I'll take it, and I'll pay the shipping both ways, that ok?

My zip is 37379. Let me know how much it will cost, I'll send it to you via Paypal with my address and I'll need yours to ship the valve covers. I'm away from my pc at the moment I'll PM shortly.

Thanks.

Re: Painless 18 circuit wiring harness

Do you have a part number on the valve covers? I was taking quick looks at the site while at work and did not take a good look earlier today. I thought these were the kind that were $400+ in price. What is the finish? I was not looking for a trade and want to make sure I did not jump the gun accepting your offer.

Re: Painless 18 circuit wiring harness

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/NAL-12371244/

These were originally the silver ones. They sell for $335 on Summit right now. These are the GMPP valve covers not the ones sold as copies. (the letters are different sizes on the copies) They offer these, then a satin black and satin Chevy Orange powder coat. They are $375 on Summit.

Mine were silver and seemed to be getting a few finger prints on them. Nothing major, they're brand new. I just couldn't keep them clean. I got my big block back from the machine shop after the engine had the rear main installed backwards (PO) and we had to do some machine work. The valve covers were never ran / driven.

When I got the engine back we painted it and the valve covers to match with VHT (High Temp) Chevy Orange. They were cleaned with PPG wax and grease remover and the letters taped off carefully before spraying. The VHT lays out very nice and they still have the natural texture to them.

Up to you on the trade. Let me know. I'm ok either way and have offered to pay shipping on both directions.
Thanks.

Re: Painless 18 circuit wiring harness

I originally bought these valve covers to just build a 'shop truck' with the new GMPP look to my engine. The more shiney stuff I buy for it, it's starting to take on more and more Billet, I'm just changing over to the Billet Specialties covers, the ones with the old style 'Chevrolet' script on them. Justin has them on his black Cheyenne.

Nothing at all wrong with them, just changing the look of my motor.
