As joe dirt would say... Daangg! I don't recall seeing a powerglide this late either. Looks like a nice original.

Re: WOW........2023 original miles
Pretty cool. I don't get why does he screams no reserve but there is a 15K minimum opening bid. I realize the difference by definition but it really is no different than a 15K reserve.

Re: WOW........2023 original miles
i guess he's just being clear that the first bid could in fact win it. But yeah, agree, two ways to skin the cat.
I don't think I've ever seen a truck with LESS options that I wanted so badly... What a piece of history. I'll take 2 please... |

Re: WOW........2023 original miles
Sweet truck! I think I have seen it before. Might even belong to a member?
It'll be interesting to see if it sells, and for how much.

That truck has more stripper options than a hooker at the local Peaches strip joint.

Re: WOW........2023 original miles
My only quirk In this hole story was he's a collector and he ran out of storage room If this truck is that rear it be the one i would not sell.I sell one of the 20 other trucks he has that is a no name or there all piles.I've seen a lot of old car's made to look one way but after you really look at it it really is not what most people say it is.
Yes its a nice truck But fitting 15,000 I doubt he will get a bid just like all you said No options just the short bed Now if that was the 1971 Super Cheyenne deluxe with the 402 auto with every option know to man Ya i can see starting bid at 15,000 with that less of miles. But I would of gone to the reserve and see what you might of got for it at least when it got up to 9500.00 and stalled he could lower his price. Now he just wasted 100.00 listing fee |

Re: WOW........2023 original miles
^ And,that is your opinion...thank you. Now,I will say that not everyone in the world would only pay $15,000 for a BBC Cheyenne Super SWB. And,if that's what it was I believe people would pay $30,000 or more in that condition.
Personally,I don't believe the mileage. Doesn't look a mile over 2,000 I learned something here cuz I always thought '69 was the last year for Powerglide.

Re: WOW........2023 original miles
And here I was thinking.... man, all it would need is a Porterbuilt Dropmember set-up or a Roadster Shop chassis; either one w/vintage air & you'd be done.

Re: WOW........2023 original miles
I've personally seen this truck and it is INCREDIBLY clean! He was showing me some of his trucks and so I didn't look at it closely enough to verify that everything was exactly original, but he has the history from the family he bought it from in TX so I wouldn't doubt the mileage.

Re: WOW........2023 original miles

Re: WOW........2023 original miles
With a starting bid of $15k this auction should include photos of the undercarriage. Looking at the engine photos I see the passenger side frame is covered in rust. There is evidence of it on the underside of the hood, and throughout the engine bay. Why would the area under the hood have so much surface rust while the body has none? Those were painted surfaces right?

Re: WOW........2023 original miles
Go down to the Chevy dealer & see what you can get for $ 15 - 20 K.
What would that new dealer "plastic POS" be worth in 10 years if taken good care of, & what will this truck be worth with equal care, even if it is driven daily ? I know which one I'd buy. |

Re: WOW........2023 original miles
Wow what a truck!!! Just a shame they didn't check the V8 option box when ordering it!! I'd say the truck is worth that much, now whether or not it brings it is a different question.
