i saw an earlier 60s truck on another thread that had vette style side pipes on it..i was wondering if anyone else on here had side pipes on these trucks? especially step sides.

1bad62 that first truck is the one i saw last night and i kind of fell in love with it haha. thanks blackdawg! thats the style of pipe my dad wants to run on this truck...i wonder how it would look on a long stepper..i definitely like it on your truck

The sidepipes shown on most of the trucks, can be purchased through JC Whitney, the are made by Patriot. Patriot is also remaking the old Doug Thorley sidepipes, that used to be called Showtubes. They have 4 pipes, 3 are fake & 1 hooks up to your exhaust, (similar to what the Covettes used to come with), they used to come in chrome & black. I think, they just have the chrome now. The pics of the Zoomies on the stepside, used to be made by Doug Thorley also.

Here is some before and after pics from my 65.

Before: This was a loud options and the rain cap banging all the time drove me nuts.

After: I liked this better.

I had them on mine for a while very loud on the cab running down the highway. Plus I was worried about the kids burning themselves getting out of the cab.
