Power steering pump fitting.
I know this has been talked about but I can not find a thread that tells me where I can order a fitting to put into a newer pump to use old style flare lines. Anyone know where I could order one? I don't have an old pump to pull it from and don't want to buy a pump from a junk yard just for the fitting. Thanks.

Re: Power steering pump fitting.
Well what worked for me was this...
I did a 5.3 swap a few years ago using the 2002 power steering pump. I was able to remove the fitting from my original 68 pump and it screwed right in the new pump same threads and both use an internal o-ring. it has worked for me like this for years. Oh, nevermind I just read your post again and see you dont have an old pump. I dont know if a parts store would have one? You might give them a call like I said my stock one seemed to work.

Re: Power steering pump fitting.
I did the same. You can probably just get the fitting at the JY.Should be the same on most of this era pumps from GM.

Re: Power steering pump fitting.
What year pump are you using? I have a '69 C20 and put a '91 power steering pump. I just took the fitting out of the new pump and the '69 high pressure line screwed right in.

Re: Power steering pump fitting.
the new pump I bought from pepboys had a metric female fitting already in the pump. The new pump is a standard size, but they put a metric fitting in that because the power steering line from a '91 is metric. I just removed it and my stock '69 power steering hose fitting screwed right in the pump.

Re: Power steering pump fitting.
These guys don't show a price, but there are fittings out there that work if you don't have an old pump to swap one out of.
