Water Temp sending unit
posted in electrical, but thought I might get more traffic here
on a 1970 C20 with a BB396, anyone know which wire coming from the firewall wiring harness goes to the sending unit? pictures would be helpful as the original harness on this truck is all hacked up. Thanks Joe

Re: Water Temp sending unit
On mine, it's a green wire. Here's a pic. Below manifold, between plug 1 and 3. Hope this helps?

Re: Water Temp sending unit
thanks for the replies, anyone know where it comes out of the firewall? this harness is all hacked up, and I don't have any green wires coming from the main bunch of wires on that plastic block coming out. Does this one come out thru there or is it in another spot?

Re: Water Temp sending unit
I replaced wiring past summer but still have the original firewall connector. On that it is the bottom row, left side, middle spade. (or if I'm looking a it upside down it would be the top row, right side, middle spade). It was next to a tan wire.

Re: Water Temp sending unit
thanks, I appreciate the replies guys. I will try and get it figured out today, I finally fixed all the lighting on the gauges and am tackling the wiring now.
