72 rear suspension options - question
It's my understanding that stock C10 rear susp was coil spring with trailing arms. But a leaf spring susp was optional.
Question - I've seen two different leaf spring suspensions on SPIDs - 1) R-Susp Leave Spring (RPO G70) and 2) Heavy Rear Spring (RPO, not sure...) Was #2 essentially an "option" IF you ordered #1 (in other words, I've seen these options listed on the same truck). Now, personally, I'd prefer coils n trailing arms... But, wondering your opinions on the pros/cons of the leaf spring rear suspension - things like ride height adjustability (I notice the HD leaf susp sits rather high) and also curious about coil vs leaf ride quality. thanks very much for your help. jocko |

Re: 72 rear suspension options - question
Coils ride better than leafs.

Re: 72 rear suspension options - question
i kinda thought that too. Seems like an odd option on the particular truck i'm lookin at - it's a Cheyenne Short wide with HD rear leaf susp. Sits real high in back, kinda weird combo.... Just curious
