Power steering pump bracket pictures????
Ok so the bracket that mounts on the block behind the power steering pump on my truck is broken and I don't know what to get to replace it. Just a note, I have headers now so there was a point where I believe the bracket used to mont to the manifold that is now gone.
Does anyone have a picture or could take a picture of their pump and the brackets if they are visible??? |

Re: Power steering pump bracket pictures????
I think the setup in my truck is swapped from a later model, but it and that in my car mount first to the water pump. This is the pivot point.
The bracket with the elongated hole to adjust the belt is attached to the front exhaust manifold/header bolt. |

Re: Power steering pump bracket pictures????
Here's mine, but this is for a short water pump so this may not work for you. Bracket is from JEGS,part 555-60703. Too much stuff in the way to see how it is mounted so here is how it mounts.

Re: Power steering pump bracket pictures????
I just went through this myself! In researching it I found that there are like 5 different style mounts and brackets used and a lot of them are interchangeable. I ordered the one from LMC and it works great, but the instructions are crap. Also when it came the literature indicated it was for '50s models, but it works perfectly. One bolt goes through one of the water pump holes and the others on the block.

Re: Power steering pump bracket pictures????
The KRC setup is more money than a pump from the scrap yard but I figure do it right the first time and not worry about it in the future!! Besides the stock power steering setup looks like trash.

Re: Power steering pump bracket pictures????
Hello, So I am in search for the easiest to install power steering pump bracket. The engine is out of a 1985 350 K5 Blazer. No AC unit. Im not sure where to find the right bracket that matches up and bolts in properly. Any help where to buy, and any pictures would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
