Spare Tire Holder /Inside Fleetside Bed

Has anyone used the spare tire holder from LMC for inside the bed for a short fleetside truck ? Is it good quality ,would you use it again if you needed one. Does any other supplier sell them ?I keep missing the ones in the classifieds so Im considering a new one ,anyone out there used one and happy with it?

I have the one from LMC. I believe it is made by Valley ind, if I remember correctly. Nice piece, but it is a flat bar style.

Re: Spare Tire Holder /Inside Fleetside Bed

The one posted is just a cariage bolt. Don't think the bolt is original, I'd imagine the factory one was lost years ago.

Re: Spare Tire Holder /Inside Fleetside Bed

Anyone got pics of these with the spare mounted to the bed ,both left and right side pics would be nice. When I find one of these I need to decide which side Im going to put it on. Im thinking I like it on the passenger side as pictured above .

I've got mine mounted on the driver's side and will try to get pics soon to post.

I like it on the driver's side because it never enters my vision when I'm driving. I never tried it mounted to the passenger side, but would be worried that I might catch a glimpse of it out of the corner of my eye or something and think there was someone in my blind spot or something like that.

I dunno. I'm sure those that have it on the passenger side can quickly confirm that it's no problem to have it there.

Re: Spare Tire Holder /Inside Fleetside Bed

I guess the ones in the rear are easier to get to if you need them when you have a load of stuff in the bed.
