HID Lights

Has anyone done HID's recently and if so whats your alls oppinion on them on a 76 c20? Mainly I need them because I work at night and travel mostly in the night hours so I need to see as I'm in fear of hitting wildlife. If anyone has a recommendation on what company and site to go with. Maybe, if possible to have a few pics that would be cool.

Thanks!

Re: HID Lights

Get the Hella H4 conversion lights and stick with Halogen bulbs...HIDs are going to cause hot spotting and blotchy light patterns in any housings available. Trust me on this, I sell a lot of HIDs and definitely would not recommend them in these trucks with all the various headlight housing types out there.

Re: HID Lights

If you want hids you have to modify some metal housings to accept projector housings that way you have the hids focused

Re: HID Lights

So it looks like you are in Everett which isn't too far from me in N. Gate. Do you own a store or something. You had mentioned you sell a lot if HID's. I would like to go the route you suggested. My other question is since I had a short in my engine harness the lighting harnes was effected as well next to the fuse box and I need to replace this set of wires which I can order from Americanautowire.com for $1XX.00 or does this set up come with a repacement of wires all the way to the fuse box. P.S where can I get this part.

Re: HID Lights

Well Instead of spending that much money on a new wiring harness for about a quarter of that you can get a good one at lake Stevens wrecking yard. They are quite easy to pull. And yes I will be doing hid kits on the cheap
