Spark Plug Wires With "Nipple Boots"

Does anyone know what spark plug wires come with the 90 degree distributor nipple boot? I want to use the bracket that attaches to the HEI distributor by clipping into the spark plug wire boots.

I have the MSD 8.5 Super Conductor Wires on my 83', I think Taylor and Accel had the original style boots too.

Are you using a stock size HEI distributor?

My 75 GMC, 350, had HEI and used the round "retainer" that snapped on to the plug wires. Not sure if this is what your getting at.

Re: Spark Plug Wires With "Nipple Boots"

What I was trying to get at was that the retainer ring snaps onto the coil which is on the top of the GM HEI distributor, so for it to work, you need that type of distributor. Wires for a 75 or 76 Corvette are HEI type wires with the nipples and are long enough to run under the manifolds if you are using ram horns on a small block. I think stock wires were 7mm. Aftermarket high performance wires may be too thick to fit under that retainer. Don't know which wires would work if you are running a big block. You might want to check fitment before you purchase.

Re: Spark Plug Wires With "Nipple Boots"

I installed MSD Street Fire dist. with new 454HO, just like OEM dist. I've had the MSD wires on for years. You can look up your application on Summit Racing. MSD shows two with that style, MSD-35599 & MSD-31763. They have other brands the OEM style too. Good Luck!
