I want to know who has the best parts for the money? I do not mind spending a few extra bucks if the part are nice. I am getting ready to purchase new mirrors in and out and new wiring harness for front parking lights and wanted to know who is best place to buy from as i want very good quality.

I used American auto wire and really like the quality of the kit and the customer service is top notch. . Mirrors I cannot help you with, run a cheap peep and a rear view . Would toss the peep if I could get away with it.

Classic Parts of America, Tim Tygerts Obsolete Chevy Parts, Bowtie bits, LMC are the four that I use the most and in that order. I always try and go NOS 1st, which I normally get form Tim Tygerts or a local yard/swap meet. The reproduction stuff is almost all made by the same people, so venders are a preference....but watch out, there are some big differences in shipping for different co's. GM & GM restoration still carries alot of parts also. I got all my replacement harness's and mirror's from Classic Parts of America and parts arrived within 3-4 days after paid for. Always had great service from them. BTW- Did you find your guages?

Great thanks for all the info!!! Keep em coming....GMC1966 is supposedly getting me a picture of guages, he is also trying to locate a steering wheel.

I have used Classic Parts for over 20 years, never had an issue and very prompt service and decent prices, they will have all you posted here.

I'm In California, and I am most people I know buy from The Truck Shop in Orange, CA and also from Brothers Chevy / GMC Parts in Corona, CA. Both are great suppliers. They have it all! If I can't find something in one shop, I can find it at the other. These are my suppliers. All I buy from.

Yeah, but your shipping in state with both of those. They carry alot of parts, but shipped to NC/VA is not cheap even on $5 parts.

That is true. I just drive my 63 on over to the shops since I'm right here, but I believe Classic Parts is somewhere on the east right? And they have most everything too. I guess it's best to go with a company that offers free shipping on a certain amount of money spent right?

Yeah. I agree with that. I believe Classic Parts is out of Kansas? I wish we had a supplier that we could just drive to. Be nice , especially when in the middle of a project and you need something. I have used The Truck Shop before with no problem though.

i have LMC about 60 miles down the road Classic Parts is about 70 miles( benefit of being stationed at Whiteman AFB). so i can put eyes on the parts before purchasing so all my buying experiences have been great.
