Front susp. Swap

Hello, Okay to fill yall in, Im working a 65 chevy been in the family since the year. Okay well Im down to the chassic. And about done spraying the frame. I know that chevy trucks can fit and what not on most other frames.

Well my question is what years fit front suspen. parts for a 65 chevy I want to end up bagging and put in disc brakes. I know other ppl clip the truck with a camero and what not. But Im pretty good with the grease work and body work but I a newbie with a welder and stuff like that. Any help would be great thanks in advance.

Re: Front susp. Swap

All you really need to swap is the spindles/brakes/power steering/sway bar/ ball joints/ tie rod ends. Like Lolife99 says, read the thread he provided and you will almost be an expert.

Re: Front susp. Swap

Don't clip it. You'll be in for a ton of work trying to get the core support, steering, inner fenders, and all the body panels to fit right.

Find a '73-'87 parts truck or frame and swap out the entire front suspension, including crossmember. No welding required. You just have to drill two new holes and elongate two existing holes.

'Gotta love Chevy. You can't do that kind of stuff with a Ford.
