On the drop shocks, CPP was carrying Doetsch, then about a year ago I think they started having them made, and they were no-name, now I see they are called Black Magic, maybe from the same factory all along and just a branding change.

Buy some front stock height shocks from your local parts store should be less than $20 each. Check the CPP catalog, the part number for their rear drop shocks is the exact same part number as their front stock shocks. I've done this for two of my lowered trucks and have saved a lot of money and they work great.

I'm telling you because of where I work I get shocks for about $15 a piece for the nice Monroe's and if you are going 4" or lower then buy yourself a set of front stock Monroe's or Bilsteins and I know you will be very happy with the ride, I sure am. Now for the front I was able to get a set of the CPP Black Magic shocks for free and so far they are better than the worn out ones I had. Maybe we should put this in the facts section.

Re: Shorter Shocks for rear 4in drop springs?

And by the way I have done this on both leaf and coil spring suspensions.

Re: Shorter Shocks for rear 4in drop springs?

Anyone use the KYB Excel-g (twin tube) front shock for a 4" drop in the rear? The KYB catalog has different eye diameters on the upper and lower mount (5/8" top and 1/2" lower) for the stock front shock. The stock rear shock has 5/8" eyes on both upper and lower mount.

Thanks

Rich,
Monroe lists a 33033 as the front shocks for this truck. Are you recommending the 32207 just for the rears or for both locations?
