which one do you guys like best
ok so i stole the line drawing from another board member so i could color it to get an idea of what i want my truck to look at. Along with the paint i am going to paint the interior silver and prob put a silver divider line between the orange and white but which on of the these do you guys like better.

Re: which one do you guys like best
Depending on the color scheme I chose picture 1 if you are going with two totally different colors, say white and orange. If you are going with like say black and dark grey I would say picture 2.

Re: which one do you guys like best
Example from another thread. One is the opposite of what you want but gives you an idea of what it would look like.

Re: which one do you guys like best
Of the two choices I prefer #1. It just seems to have a lighter touch and I find it more appealing.

Re: which one do you guys like best
I think maroon and white would look better, but maybe that's just an Aggie thing...
But, if I had to go orange it would be #2 |

Re: which one do you guys like best
I say number 2. If you look at the pictures of the two real photos above I think the second flows better by going inline with the bottom edge of the hood. More fluid in my opinion.
Good luck, AJ Posted via Mobile Device |

I made a mistake and meant to vote 1. I was looking at the photos and voted backwards in the vote. Sorry

Re: which one do you guys like best
I like #4. But seriously, I think #2 has a Chippy Foosey look to it - color line breaks where he tends to two-tone what seems like every Overhaullin' project. For some reason, #1 just seems like it would look too "top (exact) half is color A and bottom (exact) half is color B". I'd be afraid the popularity of the flames, although cool, would not outlive the paintjob itself and you'd be stuck with a the paint version of a 45 y/o guy still wearing his letter jacket from high school.
So, I'm wondering if you're gonna absolutely go with ONE of these options - or is a classy original paint scheme still a possibility? Hard to mess with Mother Nature, and Chevrolet... There is a way to "customize" a classy paint scheme by using metallics or pearls or different than factory colors - but using the stock color line breaks... So, something like british racing green metallic with a pearl white roof.... I'm just spit-ballin' here. One BIG question - although you show none - will you have any trim on the vehicle? If you have the side trim - I really, REALLY don't think #1, #2, or #3 will work - but I assume you're going brazilian in the side trim department, so it could work like that. Anyhoo. I begrudgingly cast my vote for #2 (yes, I realize that puts me in the minority) but in the back of my mind I'm sincerely hoping you'll reconsider a variation on a proven stock theme. Either way - I cannot wait to see what you come up in and see it when it's finished! |

Re: which one do you guys like best
I have not completly out ruled a stock paint scheme i do agree with the flames ya they look cool but for how long. i personally am kinda leaning torward #2 but still unsure. I dont plan on doing anything real fancy just a decent looking driver. I have opted to use fiberglass on the body instead of welding in the patch panels 1 for money reasons 2 becasue this truck is going to be a daily driver 365 days a year and fiberglass dont rust. Im not planning on putting any side trim on it but i do have the chevrons that go on the cab that i am thinking of using just to kinda offset everything.

Re: which one do you guys like best
Ole' 1Bad's choice....
Now somebody do some fancy Chip Foose designing and make the black orange. She would be white and orange, but with this scheme. My next thought would be..............

Re: which one do you guys like best
I thought it was like those magazines for kids where you have to find the one that is different , took me 4 looks at both before I figured it out ... it's been a rough day , I am ready for some rest..... I vote number 5 , truck all orange except from the bottom of the crease below the windows to the top all white... sorry , that's just me , oh and change the orange to a wheatland yellow and you've got it .....

Re: which one do you guys like best
Would you like the truck to look taller (#2) or lower (#1)? I realize this is probably not a primary concern but one you may want to take into consideration...
