V6 Pictures

I would love to see every ones pictures of their V6's. 637's and 702's would also be acceptable.

Please list what motor it is.

Re: V6 Pictures

I dont know which model it is, just that I looked and according to jollys page it is a 478 but I might be able to find out. I was a 73 Dodge 1 ton but i de-cabed it. It has the 478,SM420 and a huge Brownie. I got it for the Brownie. It has alot of blow by. My guess was it came from a dump truck or something.
You can have it bell forward if you want.

Few nice 6'ers in there!

I'd love to do a turbo'd 6 just for a play truck.

A Brownie is an aux trans mounted behind the main box. The second pic in post #8 shows it.

I've seen the Plaid valve covers, but up until this moment I've never seen the super rare 'Leopard Exhaust Manifolds'

Re: V6 Pictures

The two air fliters are because the diesels run intake and exhaust on the outside with the injection pump, lines, and injectors in the lifter valley.

Here's mine before I removed it for a 12 Valve Cummins. I might put it in my 70 GMC just because it'ld be so wrong in a slammed truck it'd be right.

Video of idling:

I need to get some pictures from a shop on base, there is a 63 GMC 4wd with the original 305 in it. Pretty awesome time warp.

Re: V6 Pictures

It was hooked up, but I removed everything with the cummins swap to make room for the turbo and exhaust.

The motor may end up in another truck if it doesn't sell by the time I get around to it.

What's in my 1969 2500. 305E. Pretty much original. I'm doing the Holley and HEI thing right now, though.
