Dan, Received the knob Saturday. Did you ever notice the gouge on the bottom half of the knob ? I can't see it in the picture or description but it was quite obvious and there was no damage to the shipping box ? Anyway, after about 45 minutes of 80 grit, 180 grit, 400 grit, 600 grit and 1500 grit sandpaper, rubbing compound and polishing compound all shelf wear is gone & knob looks great. Thanks. Mike.

I can't say that I ever looked at the knob in any detail.
I removed it for the pics, but didn't inspect it. It sounds like you now have a "show" quality knob for your restoration. Thanks, Dan
