Everyone From Arkansas Post Here

everyone in arkansas, im wanting to get the admin of the site to put us on the regions list and also to get some events going where we all have places to take our trucks and show them off. so anyone and everyone who lives in Arkansas, post a "hey" here, maybe we can get a count, any year truck, just trying to figure out how many Arkansans are on the forum.

Marianna here. For those that don't know, that is everyone that does'nt live here, I'm in the eastern part of the state, if you look at a map draw a line from Little rock east and you'll be close to me. I have a body shop been here in it since the late 80's and like to help out others. Jim

Re: Everyone From Arkansas Post Here

I'm not from Arkansas, but what the heck? Why doesn't Arkansas have a forum? And,why do you have to prove yourselves to get one?? There are states that do have their own forum and there's a post about every six months,if you're lucky. I see far more active members from Arkansas than those states. I don't get it. I've been in your state and really like it. When there I noticed how much longer vehicles survived there compared to back east. It ain't no Arizona, but when you see folks churnin around in 20-40 or more year old vehicles every day it says something about how they survive. and, from what I've seen on this site, plenty of members have plenty nice trucks from there.

I'm up in the hills, between Bull Shoals Lake & Norfork Lake, & near some of the best trout fishing in the world, on the North Fork & the White Rivers, at Mountain Home.

Not a native Arkansan, but after 33 years, I'm talkin' like one.

Little late to this, but did Arkansas get it's own sub forum? I searched and didn't see one, but may have overlooked it.

Woogeroo is correct. There is no hidden bias toward any state or region that determines if they have their own specific state or region sub forum. The decision is made by the members based on how active they are in an area. Every few months Liz adds sub forums that have had requests and shown to be viable. At that time she usually deletes those that are inactive.

To answer your questions as to why dont we just leave them all? Its an attempt to keep things simple. We have found that most members visit only a few forums per trip to the board. They prefer a clean simple lay out that is easy to navigate. This approach helps generate traffic to the site and keeps members here longer.

Very good answer.

Also consider that the "regional forums" span not just the United States but, indeed, the globe. If the forums weren't consolidated where low activity happens, we'd practically need an entire other webside to administer to them. A massive task indeed.

If any of you would like to see your state with it's own sub-forum, get a ROLL CALL going and encourage your neighbors to use the forum a lot.
If you have "hot" threads in your area, encourage follks to subcribe to them and advertise it! I use my signature for this purpose often (see below).

Activity is key!!

Jump up and down, stomp your feet, and yell really loud

Just continue to bring attention to the areas as you do.

As for the folks posting here (which is fine also)

Here is the South Western region link http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/f...splay.php?f=53
(It was in south east at one time also) Go post there. That is what we look at to determine new areas. If you want a forum, use it and get others to as well.
