It's DONE!

Well after 1 month its finaly done . Dad and I have spent 2 solid weeks then 3 partial weekends doing a semi-full restoration. I still have a few things to do, like fit the hood and do a little more color sanding/buffing. But overall its VERY close to complete!

I took it for a spin tonight at about dusk and ooohhh man I was lovin' that , It sure turns some heads

That looks real good!!!

Where's the burn out pics??

Guess you should at least let the paint cure a little bit before you do that!

Thanks guys

LMAO Robert, that dang f&rd broke down twice during the time I was driving it... Had to replace the waterpump the day before I came down here last week.

Now I get to enjoy finding every gas station between here and Kansas City! It took 70.00 in gas to get down here :0

Beautiful truck!! Those rims polished up really nice too. What size tires you got on there now? Are you going to get different ones now that it's complete?

Thumbs up

Hey, that is a sweet looking truck! I like the older trucks. I am a 15 year old kid that I think was just born in the wrong generation. I like 67 and 68 chevys best, (I also like the 40 and 50 and 60 (60, 61, 62, 63, 64, 65, 66, 67, 68) but I dont like he 69 or 70 chevy grilles.) I want a custom grille for my 70. It will be restored soon. I am taking my 67 chevy long wide bed 4 speed in the floor and removing the cab and putting it on a 78 chevy with a 79 corvette 350 in it, when I buy the 78. It is only $600 and it has nothing wrong, except a lot of miles, and I want to re-build it anyway. This is my life. Motors. I have an after-school job at a mechanics place in town. I want to buy a 02 chevy shortwide bed to put on it afterwards. I am going to have a roll pan too !!! I want it to be Black, with fade-into-green flames running across the hood, and down the side. It has to be just right... I am going to enter it in a few car shows. I will win somehting, I hope. Anyhow, Nice looking trucks! Good job all of you! L8er.

Great job Piston, I am sure you are proud of that beauty.

Also, thanks for the great photos of the restoration. It is awesome to see a project like that going through the process.
It gives us all a much better perspective of how much work it takes to get a truck to look so nice!!

Thanks!
