Auto trans crossmemeber for 60-62

Does anyone know where I can get a crossmember for my 62? Thanks in advance.

the only original one ive seen is Mark01 theyre pretty rare I made mine out of 3/8 flat steel you might get lucky and find one in a wrecking yard or ebay good luck

Thanks. Thats what the PO has under there right now. A piece of flat steel. The problem is the alignment is off.

Not sure what your current crossmember looks like, but the one shown in post #15 of the following thread looks like it would be easy to duplicate and provide adjustability:

Original 60-62 automatic xmbrs were very rare even 20 years ago. My wife and I looked through well over 100 trucks and only found two. The other one was damaged and hacked up or I would have bought both.

In the last 10 years I’ve seen 3 on Ebay, including these two:





They are indeed rare, and the few I’ve seen were well overpriced. The last one I saw was listed at $275. At those prices I’d have to fabricate one if I ever needed a replacement.

It’s just speculation, but I think the first picture might be the version for a short bed, and the second picture a long bed application. The one I ended up with was too wide to bolt in the factory frame holes (it looks like the 2nd photo), so I sectioned it to fit:
